The New York Department of State, Division of Licensing Services assigns the scope of the curriculum and the educational requirements for estheticians to include the following subjects and the hours assigned to each. 100 | INFECTION CONTROL: The act of preventing the growth of germs and bacteria or destroying them. Students must perform daily sanitation tasks on implements, equipment and facilities to prevent the spread of disease and bacteria. |
